We ask all our partners for a few simple brand assets, but more than half are not able to provide us with much. Your brand is an important way to represent yourself and your business out in the market.
Do you have a professional logo?
Do you have professional-looking images of yourself and your business?
How do you show up against other businesses?
Mechanics can have a reputation for being grease monkeys. However, if you ‘show up’ clean and presentable, with a professional image you will make a great first impression and build confidence with your customers. For mobile mechanics, your appearance is especially important as it’s you that fronts up to someone’s home or workplace.
We have a saying – you can either look like an $80 mechanic, or a $120 mechanic – which would you prefer? That is, if you look the part, you can have the confidence to increase your hourly rate.
This week you will focus on pulling together a few brand ‘assets’ that you can use as needed. Business cards, website, Facebook, van design, uniforms, lube stickers, you name it – you’ll be ready to go.
With just a few simple tweaks this week you will win more business, keep your existing customers coming back and be a step closer to inching up your hourly rate.
