STEP 3: LUBE STICKERS
A constant reminder of the next service date.
One of the biggest missed opportunities is not using lube stickers. One of the biggest mistakes we see is repairers using generic lube stickers.
A lube sticker is a constant reminder to the customer of when their vehicle is due for a service. However, the more important point is that using a branded lube sticker is a constant reminder of your business.
You may be tempted to use generic lube stickers. These are the ones the oil companies hand out for free. What this does is remind the customer to use that brand of oil at their next service. It does nothing for your business.
You can order custom made lube stickers from a number of companies with pricing starting from 6c each. 6c is a very small price to pay to place a permanent reminder of your business in front of the customer. Next time they need a service, or they have an issue with their car they’re more likely to call you because your name and number is right in front of them.
Blue Toro Preferred Partner lube stickers are available from 6c including your name and number. Or you can design your own for a slightly higher price plus setup fee. We use and recommend Orange Dog.
Beware of cheap stickers. Cheap stickers will fade and peel in the sun and won’t last 12 months. This will likely cause the car owner to rip the sticker off – defeating the purpose and wasting your money. Again, we recommend purchasing through Blue Toro or paying slightly more through Orange Dog who are automotive stationery specialists.
